Consider Donating Clothing To Support Our Mission Of Affordable Clothes For Everyone!!!

You are always welcome to donate items, consign items, or do a mix of both. Many people choose to consign higher-value pieces and donate the rest.

Unlike consignment drop-offs, donations are accepted year-round and are not seasonal.

If you are planning to donate more than 50 items, please call ahead so we can make sure we have space available to receive them.

Why donate to More To Love?

  • Helps keep affordable plus-size clothing available in our community
  • Supports a locally owned small business
  • Reduces textile waste by keeping clothing in circulation
  • Helps support outreach and clothing access programs

Donations help us maintain a large, affordable inventory and allow us to continue supporting the community through resale and outreach efforts.

More To Love Consignor Guide

Please Read All Consignment Guidelines Before Dropping Off

Before bringing in a consignment, all consignors are expected to read and review this entire guide, including our drop-off requirements, quality standards, seasonal guidelines, payout information, pricing policies, and inventory terms.

Following these guidelines helps us process items more quickly, maintain consistent quality for our shoppers, and give your items the best opportunity to sell.

What We Accept

We accept new and like-new clothing and accessories in sizes Large (12) and up.

  • There is no upper size limit for clothing or shoes.
  • Items must be freshly laundered, unless they are new with tags.
  • Clothing should be brought folded in a bag, box, or bin you do not need returned.
  • Please call ahead if you need to bring items on hangers.
  • You may consign up to 15 items per consignment period.

What You Need at Drop-Off

At drop-off, you will complete a short form. Please be prepared to tell us:

  • How many items you are dropping off
  • The sizes and types of items included
  • A brief description of two items, including:BrandSizeCategoryColor

Save time: Completing your consignor agreement ahead of time can help make drop-off faster.

Seasonal Guidelines

Mountain weather can be unpredictable, and many shoppers travel between areas with different climates. Because of this, our seasons transition gradually rather than changing all at once.

We discount and rotate seasonal inventory in waves so shoppers have more time to find what they need.

Our seasonal guidelines are based primarily on excluding items that are unlikely to sell during that time.

  • If an item is not listed as an excluded category, it may be considered an all-season item.
  • Items brought in outside their appropriate season may be rejected regardless of quality.
  • Consignors who carefully select items appropriate for the current season generally give their items a better opportunity to sell quickly.

Special Exceptions

  • Swimwear: We accept new or like-new swim tops and accessories.
  • Swim bottoms and full swimsuits: Must be new with tags.
  • Bras: Must be new without tags.

Quality Standards & Pre-Screening

We ask consignors to carefully inspect and pre-screen every item before bringing it in.

We do not fully sort consignments during drop-off, so items should already be checked for obvious condition or quality issues.

If a drop-off contains a high percentage of items that clearly do not meet our standards, we may decline to process the entire drop-off and ask that the items be re-sorted before being brought back during a future intake period.

Items may be rejected because:

  • They do not meet our condition standards
  • They are out of season
  • We currently have too many similar items
  • We believe the item is unlikely to sell

Please remember that acceptance is based on more than whether an item is still wearable. We must consider what our shoppers are currently buying and maintain a reliable quality standard throughout the store.

Rejected or Removed Items

Consignors may choose whether rejected or removed items are:

  • Returned
  • Donated

If you choose to have items returned, they must be picked up within the notification window provided.

Consignor Earnings

Consignors earn 35%–40% of the final sale price, depending on the options selected in the consignor agreement.

Balances generally become available:

  • 7 days after an in-store sale
  • About 20 days after an online sale to allow for return windows

Payout Options

Available payout options include:

  • Venmo — Free payout option
  • Check — Free pickup in-store or mailed for a $3 fee
  • Store Credit — Receive a 30% bonus when using your balance in-store
  • eGift Card — Available if you would like to shop online or gift your balance

Balances may be requested:

  • Through your consignor portal
  • By phone
  • By visiting the shop

How We Price Items

Our team prices items based on several factors, including:

  • Brand
  • Condition
  • Style
  • Current demand
  • Current inventory levels

Our goal is to keep items affordable for shoppers while still earning consignors a fair return.

Prices may change during the consignment period due to:

  • Storewide sales or promotions
  • Seasonal markdowns as items age
  • Offers, auctions, or bids on online platforms
  • Shipping adjustments
  • Platform selling fees

Some online discounts and platform fees are not automatically applied by our system and must be adjusted manually.

Because of this, the final recorded sale price may occasionally be updated after a transaction to reflect the correct net sale amount.

Consignor payouts are always calculated from the final adjusted sale price.

Inventory Expiration Policy

Unsold items remain in our inventory for several months to give them time to sell.

Items that remain unsold 8 months after being processed into inventory automatically revert to the ownership of More To Love unless they are picked up before that time.

Once an item reverts to store ownership, it may be:

  • Sold
  • Donated

Before You Drop Off

Please make sure you have:

  • Read all sections of this consignor guide
  • Checked our Consignor Schedule for the next available drop-off window
  • Reviewed what we are accepting during that drop-off period
  • Reviewed our current seasonal guidelines
  • Carefully checked each item for quality and condition
  • Laundered and prepared your items properly
  • Limited your drop-off to 15 items
  • Completed your consignor agreement when possible

Taking a few extra minutes to review your items and our guidelines before drop-off helps us spend less time sorting rejected inventory and more time getting accepted items photographed, listed, and available for shoppers.
