More To Love Plus-Size Consignment
Preparing Your Items For Drop-Off
We accept new and like-new clothing and accessories in sizes Large (12) and up. There is no upper size limit for clothing or shoes.
- Items must be freshly laundered (unless new with tags)
- Bring items folded in a bag, box, or bin you do not want back
- Call ahead if you need to bring something in on hangers
- You may consign up to 25 items per consignment period
At drop-off, you’ll complete a short form. You will need to know:
- how many items you’re dropping off
- what sizes and types they are
- and you’ll be asked to briefly describe two items (brand, size, category, and color)
Save time: filling out your consignor agreement ahead of time can speed up drop-off.
Seasonal Consignment Guidelines
Mountain weather can be unpredictable, and many shoppers travel between areas with different climates. Because of this, our seasons transition gradually rather than switching all at once.
We discount and rotate seasonal inventory in waves so shoppers have more time to find what they need.
Our seasons are based mostly on excluding items that are unlikely to sell during that time. If an item is not listed as an excluded category, it may be considered an all-season item.
Items brought in outside their season may be rejected regardless of quality. Consignors who carefully select items appropriate for the current season tend to sell more quickly.
Special exceptions:
- Swimwear: We accept NEW or LIKE-NEW swim tops and accessories
- Swim bottoms and full suits: must be new with tags
- Bras: must be new without tags
Consignor Earnings & Payment Methods
Consignors earn 35%–40% of the final sale price, depending on the options selected in the consignor agreement.
Balances become available:
- 7 days after an in-store sale
- About 20 days after an online sale to allow for return windows
Payout options include:
- Venmo — free payout option
- Check — free pickup in-store or mailed for a $3 fee
- Store Credit — receive a 10% bonus when using your balance in-store
- eGift Card — available if you'd like to shop online or gift your balance
Balances may be requested through your consignor portal, by phone, or by visiting the shop.
How Pricing Works & Why Prices May Change
Our team prices items based on brand, condition, style, demand, and current inventory levels. Our goal is to keep items affordable for shoppers while still earning consignors a fair return.
Prices may change during the consignment period due to:
- storewide sales or promotions
- seasonal markdowns as items age
- offers, auctions, or bids on online platforms
- shipping adjustments or platform selling fees
Some online discounts and platform fees are not automatically applied by our system and must be adjusted manually. Because of this, the final recorded sale price may occasionally be updated after the transaction to reflect the correct net sale amount.
Consignor payouts are always calculated from the final adjusted sale price.
Rejections, Returns & Item Expiration
We ask consignors to carefully review their items before bringing them in. We do not sort consignments during drop-off, so items should be pre-screened for obvious issues.
If a drop-off contains a high percentage of items that clearly do not meet our standards, we may decline to process the entire drop-off and ask that items be re-sorted before bringing them again during a future intake period.
Items may also be rejected if:
- they do not meet our condition standards
- they are out of season
- we currently have too many similar items
- we believe the item is unlikely to sell
Consignors may choose whether rejected or removed items are returned or donated. If return is selected, items must be picked up within the specified notification window.
Inventory expiration policy:
Unsold items remain in our inventory for several months to give them time to sell. Items that remain unsold 8 months after being processed into inventory automatically revert to the ownership of More To Love unless they are picked up before that time.
Once items revert to store ownership they may be sold, donated, or otherwise disposed of.
Donating Clothing To Support The Shop
You are always welcome to donate items, consign items, or do a mix of both. Many people choose to consign higher-value pieces and donate the rest.
Unlike consignment drop-offs, donations are accepted year-round and are not seasonal.
If you are planning to donate more than 50 items, please call ahead so we can make sure we have space available to receive them.
Why donate to More To Love?
- Helps keep affordable plus-size clothing available in our community
- Supports a locally owned small business
- Reduces textile waste by keeping clothing in circulation
- Helps support outreach and clothing access programs
Donations help us maintain a large, affordable inventory and allow us to continue supporting the community through resale and outreach efforts.
