Is everything in your store plus-size only?
Our apparel starts at size 12 (Large) and up. We are a plus-size-exclusive boutique focused on sizes 12+. We also carry accessories such as shoes, bags, hats, and some one-size or free-size items.
How do I know what will fit me?
Fit can vary significantly from brand to brand and even between different styles from the same brand, so the size on the tag is not always a perfect predictor of fit.
Whenever possible we try to include size charts and fit notes on listings. However, because we add over 100 new items every week, adding charts for every single piece is a time-consuming process.
If you want to double-check before purchasing, we are happy to provide measurements upon request. We can measure items such as bust, waist, hips, rise, inseam, or length to help you make a confident decision.
You can request measurements through website chat or by calling 828-424-7270 during store hours (Wed–Sat, 11am–6pm). Please allow up to 2–3 days for a response, though it is often the same day.
Are your items new or secondhand?
Almost all of our inventory is secondhand, but everything we sell is either new or like new. Many pieces are worn only a few times with no visible signs of wear, and we frequently carry new-with-tags items as well.
All items are inspected and must meet strict condition standards so shoppers can rely on consistent quality. Buying resale also helps reduce textile waste and keeps great clothing in circulation.
What makes More To Love different from other thrift or resale stores?
We offer the best of both worlds: prices close to many thrift stores combined with the organization and consistent quality of a boutique consignment shop.
Our store carries more inventory and more price points than many consignment stores, while maintaining a higher and more consistent quality standard than most thrift stores.
We are also Asheville's only independently owned brick-and-mortar plus-size-exclusive consignment boutique, offering a large, clean, organized, and accessible shopping experience.

Who owns More To Love?
More To Love Plus Size Consignment is owned by Jazmin Whitmore, a Black, woman, and queer small business owner based in Asheville, North Carolina.
Jazmin opened the shop after seeing how difficult it was to find affordable, stylish plus-size clothing in a welcoming environment. Her goal was to create a space where curvy shoppers could explore their personal style while finding quality pieces at accessible prices.

What sizes are hardest to find?
We continually add inventory across all sizes we carry, but due to supply and demand, sizes 26+ often have less inventory than sizes L–2X.
Sizes 3X and above are especially helpful sizes to donate or consign. Inventory changes daily, so sometimes we may have more 4X than 2X depending on what has recently come in.

Do you carry trendy or alternative plus-size styles?
Yes! We actively seek out alternative, artistic, statement, and fashion-forward plus-size styles. These items tend to sell quickly, so selection may vary.

Can I request specific brands or sizes?
Yes. You can search by brand online, and we can check current inventory in-store if you call us.
Because our inventory is one-of-a-kind and constantly rotating, we cannot special order items or guarantee specific brands if they are not currently in stock.

Orders are usually ready within 1–2 business days. Holiday hours may affect timing. If you have questions, call 828-424-7270.
Pickup orders are held for 14 days with no contact. If you need more time, call us and we can extend pickup up to 25 days.
Do you offer free shipping?
No. Because we are a consignment-based business that pays consignors 35–40% of each sale, we cannot absorb shipping costs in addition to our overhead.
Instead, we charge accurate shipping based on weight and destination so shoppers only pay the actual cost to ship their items.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — we currently ship internationally through eBay and Whatnot.
Because we cannot weigh every item before it sells on the website, estimating international shipping is difficult. If you would like to purchase internationally from our website, please contact us through chat or by phone.
Tell us which items you are interested in and where they need to ship. We will weigh the items and calculate an exact shipping cost. If you approve, we will create a custom listing for you.
I'm visiting Asheville but can't take items on the plane. Can you ship them for me?
Yes! If you are visiting Asheville and would like to shop while you're here but can't take items on the plane, we can help.
We can weigh and price shipping in-store and mail your purchases to your chosen destination — national or international. Just ask us before checkout and we'll help arrange it.
What is your return policy?
Website & eBay orders: Returns are accepted within two weeks of delivery. The item must be mailed within that window and returned in the same condition with tags and packaging intact.
In-store and Whatnot purchases: All sales are final.

Do you offer exchanges?
No. If a return is approved for an eligible online order, the payment will be returned to the original payment method.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
Please double-check your shipping address before completing your order.
We are not responsible for packages sent to an incorrect address entered at checkout and cannot issue refunds for address errors. If you realize a mistake immediately after ordering, please contact us as soon as possible so we can try to help.
What if my package is lost or damaged?
If your package appears to be lost or arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible so we can assist you with next steps.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Online: We accept Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and all major credit and debit cards through Shopify Payments.
In-store: We accept credit and debit cards, cash, and consignor credit.
We do not accept checks.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. We offer digital gift cards that can be used online or in-store. Gift cards make a great option when shopping for someone else and are available through our website.
Do you offer a loyalty program (Plus Perks)?
We do not currently have a formal loyalty program.
However, you can sign up for our email newsletter or text alerts to receive exclusive savings, sale announcements, and updates about new inventory.
This is the best way to hear about upcoming sales and special promotions first.
Inventory & Pricing
How often do you add new inventory?
We are constantly restocking — typically adding at least 100 new items per week, and sometimes significantly more. New inventory often hits the floor on Thursdays and Saturdays (not a fixed schedule).
If you like very specific styles or brands, we recommend checking in-store or online 1–4 times per month.
Why does inventory in my size vary so much?
Because we rely on consignors and donations, our inventory changes from day to day and we will never have the same amount of every size in every category.
For example: sometimes we might have 30 dresses in 4X, and other times we may only have 10. We do our best to keep options available across all sizes 12+ and we even run special consignment periods for low-inventory items to help keep selection strong.
How do you price your items?
Most like-new items are priced at approximately 30–40% of retail. New with tags items may range from 50–70% of retail.
It doesn't matter if something is "well priced" if it's still more than a shopper can afford. We work hard to offer multiple price points while also paying consignors fairly (consignors earn 35–40% of the sale price).
Once an item has had its chance to sell, it's time to start dropping the price — that's when items move through markdowns, clearance, and deeper liquidation on Whatnot as inventory ages.
Are prices the same everywhere I shop?
Our in-store and website prices are the same.
Prices on eBay may be slightly higher to account for platform fees and shipping costs. Prices on Whatnot may be a bit lower, because Whatnot is primarily used for fast-sale liquidation. Sales, discounts, and special offers can vary by platform.
You are welcome to follow us on all platforms and shop where and how you like.
Do you price match?
No. Our prices are determined internally based on condition, brand, quality, and demand — and are typically well below retail.
Can I combine discounts or promotions?
Some discounts may combine and some may not. We try to clearly communicate whether each deal is store-wide, applies to all inventory, includes clearance, or is limited to certain items.
Most promo codes will not work with other special offers, and some promotions (like volume discounts) may not apply to clearance items.

Yes. We offer free, easy storefront parking right outside the shop. Being located outside the busy downtown area helps us keep overhead lower and makes visiting our store much easier for shoppers.
Do you have fitting rooms?
Yes. We have fitting rooms available so you can comfortably try items on before purchasing.

Consignment & Donations
Do you buy clothes outright or is everything consignment?
No — we do not purchase clothing outright. All inventory is consignment.
Consignors earn approximately 35–40% of the final sale price when their items sell.

Can I consign items if I'm not local?
At this time, consignors must be able to physically drop items off during scheduled intake periods.
However, once items are accepted and sold, we can send payments anywhere by mailing a check or sending Venmo.
Do you accept clothing donations?
Yes — donations are always appreciated.
Donations help support our small business and our community outreach work. When items are donated, we are able to resell them without paying consignor commissions, which allows us to offer lower price points and still support the shop.
Donated items are typically evaluated and added to resale inventory first. Sales from donated items help support the store and our outreach work.
Please note that donated items are not immediately distributed to community partners. Items are usually processed through inventory first.
What condition standards do you require?
We primarily accept items that are new or like-new.
Accepted items generally include:
- New with tags
- New without tags
- Like-new items with no visible wear
Items must be clean and free from stains, odors, excessive wear, pilling, stretching, or damage.
Do you accept fast fashion brands?
We evaluate items based on quality and resale potential, not just brand name.
Many ultra-fast-fashion brands such as Shein, Temu, or similar companies often arrive with defects or unusual fit issues, so the majority of those items are rejected.
We may accept select pieces if they are in excellent condition and well constructed.
We also carry some value brands such as Terra & Sky, Ava & Viv, and Faded Glory, but we are more selective about condition and price them lower while moving them through markdowns more quickly.
